Drop Off Time
You will drop your pet off between 6:30 am - 7:00 am the day of surgery. Please be sure to withhold food (water is ok) the night before and the morning of surgery for your pet's safety while undergoing general anesthesia. Your pet will need to be ON A LEASH (dogs) or IN A CARRIER (cats). Do not bring cats into the shelter in your arms, for their own safety. If you do not own a cat carrier, you may borrow one from us prior to your scheduled date or purchase a cardboard one from us for $7. Your animal WILL NOT be released without a carrier.
Pick Up Time
You will pick up your pet on the same day between the hours of 5:00 pm - 5:30 pm. If you are going to be late or need to make emergency overnight boarding arrangements with us, please call 740-369-7387 (then press “70”) by 5:30 pm. There will be a $10 boarding fee for overnight stays.
Going Home Instructions
When you pick up your pet, we will give you post-surgical care instructions. Unless special circumstances arise, your pet will not have any stitches that need removed. (We use absorbable stitches.) Please follow your post-surgical care instructions to minimize irritation or infection. Should you have any problems, please call us to discuss.
