The Humane Society of Delaware County is hiring a Canine Caretaker — someone who’s equal parts compassionate, reliable, and ready to jump into the real, behind-the-scenes work of helping dogs get their second chance.
What you’ll be doing:
✨ Feeding, cleaning, and caring for shelter dogs (the cute and messy parts)
✨ Walking dogs + helping them decompress from shelter stress
✨ Learning their personalities so they can find the right forever home
✨ Being part of the team that turns “overwhelmed” into “adoptable”
What we’re looking for:
💛 You genuinely care (dogs can tell)

💛 You’re not afraid of a little chaos, barking, or early mornings

Meet Kiki!
Kiki is a beautiful young Abyssinian guinea pig with the most adorable swirly fur and a personality to match! At less than a year old, she’s still a youngster with plenty of curiosity and charm.
One of Kiki’s favorite pastimes is burrowing into soft blankets and cozy hideouts, where she can snuggle up and feel safe. Give her a pile of fleece and she’ll happily make herself the perfect little nest. When she’s not tucked away being cozy, you’ll likely find her excitedly munching on her favorite veggies—she’s always ready for snack time!
Kiki would love a home where she can enjoy plenty of comfy bedding, tasty greens, and people who appreciate the sweet little sounds and personalities that make guinea pigs so special.
