2008 Mutt March & Rabies Clinic

Join in a 5-K walk on Saturday, May 24th, to help support the animals of the Humane Society of Delaware County. All proceeds benefit the mission of HSDC. Don't forget your pledge/entry form!

Here's the Scoop
Ask friends, relatives, co-workers and neighbors to sponsor you by pledging a set amount for each kilometer you walk. Spread the word of all the great services provided by the Humane Society and encourage your sponsors to pledge a minimum of $5.00 per kilometer.

Registration
Join other marchers at the registration booth at the Humane Society anytime between 9:00 and 1:00. Bring your pledge/entry form, some comfy walking shoes, and you can even bring a dog. All friendly dogs are welcome - especially those adopted from HSDC!

The Walk
Your 5 kilometer (3.1 mile) march will begin and end in front of the Humane Society. Last marchers need to leave by noon. Please be prepared for the weather as this is an outside event. If you are walking with a dog, please keep them on a short leash for everyone's safety.

The Rabies Clinic
During the Mutt March, we will also be offering rabies vaccines from 9am to 1pm.
All dogs need to be leashed and cats need to be in carriers or humane traps.
The cost is $10/vaccine. We are also offering flea applications ($10 /dose) and micro chipping ($25/chip) during the Rabies Clinic. This is a very convenient, inexpensive and quick way for you to protect the animals in your life against this dangerous disease. See you at the Rabies Clinic!

Prizes, Prizes, Prizes!
In addition to knowing you helped raise money to provide care for lots of wonderful animals, you also get an HSDC T-shirt for raising over $100! Trophies will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place donation collectors. Of course there will be plenty of treats and refreshments for dogs and walkers alike!

Pledge Collection
Whenever possible, please collect pledges prior to the march. For those needing to wait to collect pledges, please bring all pledges to the Humane Society of Delaware County along with your form, by May 31st. Thank you for your support!

Barn Cats Available

We are always in need of good "barn" (outdoor) homes for a few of our cats. Some are feral and very afraid of humans. Others are not so afraid of humans, but prefer not to live inside with them! Contact HSDC and we will find the purrfect cat for your situation!
