Donations

The Humane Society of Delaware County is a non-profit organization which receives no government funding. We operate solely on donations made by caring and generous folks in our community, just like you!

These donations come in many forms, but they keep our doors open so we can serve and protect our animal friends. This includes housing unwanted pets until we can place them in new homes, providing medical treatment for injured and sick animals, investigating animal cruelty, teaching others about humane treatment of animals, reuniting lost pets with their owners, and operating a low-cost spay and neuter clinic to help reduce pet overpopulation.

How Can I Donate?

There are many ways you can contribute to the success of HSDC:

Donate supplies! Check our wish list for items needed in our daily operation.
Donate to one of four Special Funds
Purchase an item from the Wish Dish located at the HSDC front desk.
Become a Member of HSDC or make a monetary donation. Donations can now be accepted through VISA and Mastercard with NO service fee or minimum amount required.
Buy an Engraved Brick to be placed in the "Walk of Fame" at the Humane Society.

Buy a plaque to honor a special person or pet (displayed in the HSDC lobby).
Get your organization or company involved by becoming a corporate sponsor. (We advertise all of our sponsors in our adoption packets, website, and at special events.)
Leave a "bequest" in your will.
Make a contribution to the Injured & Homeless Animal Care Fund.
Donate a service such as landscaping, carpentry, etc.
Volunteer your time to help at the HSDC.
Have your classroom or organization sponsor an HSDC pet.
ADOPT! No gift is too big or too small, but the value of saving an animal's life through adoption is priceless!

HSDC provides care for over 150 animals every day!

For only $2.00 a day you can sponsor one of these animals and ensure they receive the loving care they deserve!

There are a number of sponsorship levels:

$14 Weekly sponsorship
$60 Monthly sponsorship
$725 Yearly sponsorship

Yearly sponsorships receive a plaque on the kennel of their choice! The plaque is 5" X 11", and displays the name of the sponsor and a brief dedication.
