We’ve put our Expansion Project temporarily on hold...but we still need to repair some things in the shelter! Although we broke ground for our new dog pre-adoption ward, we unfortunately had to put that project on hold. In the meantime, we need to focus on other much-needed repairs to our building. It’s held up pretty well through the years, but after nearly 30 years of high-traffic use, it really could use some TLC. We recently received a grant (from a shelter guardian angel) so we can finally replace all the windows and some of the doors, and make some other improvements that will make a visit to our shelter more enjoyable to those with physical challenges. There is still a great need to install an air filtering and conditioning system, complete a reflooring project we started, and finish a million tiny odds and ends that all add up. We’re growing. We’re improving. And we want you to be a part of our transformation. If you haven’t seen us lately, we encourage you to stop by and see our recent changes and those still in progress. If you would like to help us bring our shelter into the 21st century, please make a donation to our Building Fund. All money placed into this fund will be used directly on shelter repairs and capital improvements. Think of it as an investment in your favorite animal shelter’s future.
