Barn Cat Rescue Program Needs Your Help! HSDC’s “Barn Cat Rescue Program” is a newly created program designed to manage the rapidly increasing number of feral and abandoned cats in Delaware County. Not to mention, some of these cat colonies are being targeted for abuse and we NEED TO HELP...NOW! HSDC does not receive governmental funding, so we are counting on the caring folks within our community to step forward and help us re-home these cats whose only crime was being born. URGENT CALL FOR HOMES! HSDC is reaching out to anyone wishing to adopt a FREE barn cat or entire colony. We have an urgent need to safely relocate many feral, semi-feral, and “friendly, but prefers to be outside” cats. Please contact us if you have room in your heart and barn for any experienced mousers. We operate off a waiting list, so please contact us so we can plan ahead. URGENT NEED FOR VOLUNTEERS! 1) Cat trapping assistants (desperately needed) 2) Short-term (3-5 days) foster homes for cats after they’ve been spayed  HSDC will provide the cages and supplies. Cats would only need confined for 3 - 5 days while they heal and await transfer to their new home. If interested, please call HSDC’s shelter director, Heidi Myers, at (740) 369-7387.
For more information, please email our shelter director, Heidi Myers, at spayneuterhsdc@live.com. We are also in DIRE NEED  of sponsors and donations to help offset the medical costs. For every $80 in donations raised, we can rescue and relocate one barn cat. Please donate to HSDC’s Barn Cat Rescue or PET FBI. PET FBI works in conjuction with HSDC on TNR projects. You may make a donation right now by clicking the DONATE button (for HSDC donations) or the PET FBI logo (to donate to Pet FBI), or by mailing payment to: Humane Society of Delaware County 4920 St. Rt. 37 East, Delaware, Ohio, 43015. Please include “Barn Cat Rescue” in the memo of your check.
